Cynaxus is hiring a Client Services Manager to own the ongoing health of our existing client relationships. Our model depends on clients who stay for years and refer their peers — this role is where that retention is actually earned, between the kickoff and the renewal.

About the role

You will be the consistent point of contact across a portfolio of retained and project clients, coordinating across our cybersecurity, engineering, and managed-services practices. When a client's priorities shift, you realign the engagement before drift becomes friction. When scope and budget start to diverge, you surface it early, in plain numbers, while there are still options. You run the cadence — status communication, executive check-ins, quarterly reviews — so clients always know where the work stands, what has changed, and what comes next.

What you'll do

Maintain a living view of every active engagement in your portfolio: scope, budget consumed, milestones, risks, and the client's current temperature. Chair recurring client meetings and own the follow-through on every commitment made in them. Control budget burn against plan and negotiate scope adjustments honestly — including telling a client when something they want is not worth their money. Coordinate engagement leads internally so the client experiences one firm, not five practices. Identify expansion needs organically and bring them to the client as recommendations, not pitches.

What you bring

8+ years in client-facing delivery, account management, or engagement management roles in professional services, with direct responsibility for budgets and outcomes — not just relationships. Fluency in technical delivery contexts: you do not need to write code, but you need to hold your own in a conversation about a migration slipping or a remediation re-scope. A track record of retaining demanding clients through difficult moments. Exceptional written communication and total reliability on follow-through. Comfort delivering bad news early rather than good news late.

What we offer

A portfolio of clients who chose a senior-only firm on purpose — they want the candor this role exists to deliver. Direct influence on how engagements are run, not a seat at the end of the table. Compensation tied to portfolio retention and client outcomes. US-based, remote-first culture.
